What is architectural lighting?

The premise of architectural lighting is that there is a building. The role of architectural lighting is to serve and enhance the building, not just as an accessory to create a cohesive spatial experience.

As such, this is the intersection of art (architecture) and technology (lighting). Buildings that are illuminated or illuminated can be commercial or residential. Other areas of endeavor, such as design, also came into play. Of course, so are physics, engineering, and the psychological and physiological effects of light.

Strictly speaking, architectural lighting is the lighting of architectural design and function.

Function of architectural lighting

Lighting methods and types

1.1 The determination of the lighting mode shall meet the following requirements:
    1   The workplace should be equipped with general lighting;
    2   When different areas in the same place have different illuminance requirements, the general lighting in zones shall be used;
    3   has high requirements on the illuminance of the work surface, and only uses the general lighting unreasonable places, it is advisable to use mixed lighting;
    4   Only local lighting should not be used in a workplace;
    5   When it is necessary to improve the illumination of a specific area or target, accent lighting should be used.
1.2 The determination of lighting types shall meet the following requirements:
    1   Indoor work and related auxiliary places shall be provided with normal lighting;
    2   When the normal lighting power supply fails in the following places, emergency lighting shall be provided:
        1) Where it is necessary to ensure the continuation of normal work or activities, backup lighting shall be provided;
        2) Safety lighting shall be provided in places where the safety of persons in potential danger shall be ensured;
        3) Exits and passages that need to ensure the safe evacuation of personnel should be equipped with evacuation lighting.
    3   Places that need to be on duty or patrolled during non-working hours at night should be equipped with on-duty lighting;
    4   For places that need to be alerted, guard lighting should be set up according to the requirements of the alert range;
    5   Obstruction lighting shall be set up on buildings and structures that endanger navigation safety according to the regulations of relevant departments

  • 1. Indoor ceiling fluorescent lamps (single tube, double tube);
  • 2. Ceiling lights (kitchen, bathroom);
  • 3. Wall lamp (wall);
  • 4. Holiday lights (meeting room)
